K! Long distance and Windermere Open
19th - 20th May 2018, starting at 12:00pm
South Windermere welcomes the K1 community to our new £2.5M watersports centre.
Underfloor heating may not be high on your reasons to visit, but we will demonstrate it on request!

K1 Long Distance race Saturday 19th May.
Windermere K1 Open will include the long distance results, and three races around the buoys on Sunday. For those that can only make one day, come for either. If you only make Sunday, your discards for the Windermere open will be the long distance event. If you can only make Saturday, you will only be able to complete the Long Distance race.
Training will be organised over the weekend, details TBA.
First race Saturday not before 12:00.
Lot of local accommodation, as you would expect.If you want a reccomendstion, Try the Rusland Pool hotel, it is close, reasonably priced, and other K1ers have enjoyed their stay.
Social on Friday evening, if there is sufficient demand, and Saturday after racing. Let me know if you want to attend on Friday, the event will only be organised if there is, and according to demand…..
On Saturday we will be incredible proud to host supper in our new club house. It’s not lisenced, so you might want to bring a bottle. We plan a simple supper of sauage (Cumberland, of course) and mash, with a vegetarian option. Cost of the supper will be £10.
We will also be organising training, contact me if you want to be involved….. We can arrange sessions alongisde the race schedule, after Saturday racing, before and after Sunday racing, and also on the water during racing (provided all competitors agree to allow “outside assistance”.
Please let me know in avance if you want to attend supper (also if you want to bring a guest).
Entry to the Northern and Windermere open is (a total of) £20.
Motorhome parking / camping on site, only available Friday and Saturday nights is £10 per person per night.
